Course Description:
This WorkCover Authority approved course covers all 16 key learning areas in the first aid syllabus. Modules include:

  • Incident Management
  • The Unconscious Casualty
  • Resuscitation
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Fractures, Dislocations and Soft Tissue Injury
  • Poisoning Bites and Stings
  • Medical Emergencies
Our courses also focus on issues such as the psychology of injury and illness, first aid equipment, and medico-legal issues. This background helps the first aider understand the context of their role in health care and provide a good practical basis for the day to day injuries which first aiders are likely to see.

This course is available either in a two-day classroom mode or through an internet based distance education mode using e-mergency

All students receive a text book.

Courses are taught to Australian and current industry best practice.

Courses are examined using our Competency Based Assessment system which allows students to be examined when they feel confident and removes the pressure of traditional examinations. Courses also feature continuous review and a revision workbook to help students understand what information is really important.
